The cars are noted for their high speed stability, powerful engine, "Lobster Fork" style wheels, large brakes, sports steering wheel, sliding glass tops, and Xenon headlamps. The car has a revised front lip, a remodeled rear wing, and rear bumper.
The series has won the third place on the list of Top Sports Car of the 1960s, ranked second in the list of "100 Coolest Cars" and the car was also nominated for "World Car of the Year" award in 2005.
